Hi everyone,

If you don’t already know me, my name is Sara. I’m 23 years old and a single mom to two beautiful little girls. They are my greatest strength and the reason I keep fighting every single day.

Unfortunately, my life changed completely when I was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors believe it is a low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma. I will soon begin radiation treatment, followed by surgery to remove the tumor and help determine more about the cancer I’m facing. My doctors told me they have never seen this type of cancer develop in a nerve tumor before.

This is just one of the many tumors I have.

The months ahead will be filled with scans, biopsies, surgeries whenever necessary, and other treatments to fight the disease and prevent the cancer from spreading. It will be a long and difficult journey.

Since March 28 of this year, I have been on medical leave from work. While I focus on my treatment and recovery, I am also facing the financial challenges that come with being unable to work while raising my two daughters.
